You may never find music better suited to outlaw culture than this nasty little ditty - could have been the Hells Angel's Anthem. Punk at its foul-mouthed best. Play it LOUD and hang on.

is the name of two Vertigo comic book limited series created by writer Garth Ennis and artist Carlos Ezquerra. The first series, , was released in 2000. Its sequel, , was released in 2001 and 2002. Each series consists of three issues. The Rifle Brigade itself is a British special forces commando unit commanded by Captain Darcy and staffed with a variety of oddball and at times deviant soldiers from varied British cities and allied nations. The two stories concerns their various covert missions across Europe and Africa and their relevance to the Allied victory, brought to the level of parody. 'Operation: Bollock' in particular focused on the team's diplomatic and action-packed attempts to gain for themselves the missing testicle of Adolf Hitler. It is being held in the small Arabic country of Semmen and is being pursued by many forces, German, American and British, none of which the Brigade can trust. Garth Ennis at his absurd best., and recommended for those who like their humor zany and wacky.

West Side's Ridin' That Midnight Train: Starday King Recordings 1958-1961 whittles down these legendary Stanley Brothers recordings into a manageable portion of bluegrass home fries (King's 109-track Early Starday-King Years 1958-1961 is not for the Stanley novice). Though the scene had changed much since the Stanley Brothers' '40s and early-'50s heydays, they managed to lay down some of the best work of their careers during this period, making this an excellent choice for longtime fans or those looking to build a respectable bluegrass collection.

Larry Ehrlich was at end of a long day in a studio in Bristol, VA. Carter and Ralph Stanley as well as Ralph Mayo and Curley Lambert entered the studio in front of one microphone, and Ehrlich, after seeing them play hog callings, a couple of radio shows, and a barn dance, asked the band to sing some of the traditional songs they had been recording for the past 16 years. The results, completely unearthed until now, are no less than stunning. This is the Stanleys as listeners have never heard them: laid-back, relaxed, and full of recollection and goodwill, singing and playing songs as familiar to them as their upbringing.

Having made an enormous contribution to the establishment of the Nashville Sound and the modernisation of country music, Anita Kerr felt the need to expand her artistic horizons and in 1965, made the move from Nashville to Hollywood. She wanted to work with different people, to get her own songs recorded, to play jazz, to conduct an orchestra, to take on more ambitious and more varied projects musically, and to form a vocal group which, rather than be confined to studio sessions, might also appear in club and concert settings. Her arrival on the West Coast was well timed. She had just fought off The Beatles to win a Grammy for the album We Dig Mancini and she was quickly able to assemble a stellar Anita Kerr Singers (B.J Baker: alto, Gene Merlino: tenor; Bob Tebow: bass, with Anita herself as soprano and soloist) and secure a contract more tailored to her needs with Warner Brothers. The result over the next two years, were these five superbly fashioned albums.
