Andrew Franey is a SynthPop Recording Artist/Producer and the former Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist of the Canadian Pop/Punk band Smoother. The Juno nominated Artist (Best New Group Smoother 2001) has spent the last several years writing and producing and evolving as an artist as well as a person. His love of SynthPop/ElectroPop artists, Chvrches, Kavinsky and Starcadian, and the resurgence of synth music, has encouraged him to record and release his album 'The Stars Shine For You', his first in over a decade. Living in Paris, France over the past few years, Andrew found a love for music from Indie Labels such as Ed Banger Records which has also influenced his music. The lyrics on 'The Stars Shine For You', though deeply personal are masked in rhyme and fantasy. His search for love and happiness hasn't always met success and what could be called an album of 'post apocalyptic love songs' is at times dark and gloomy, despite the hooks and catchy melodies for which Andrew is known.

If Out Among the Stars had come out when its sessions were completed, it would've appeared sometime in 1984, arriving between 1983's flinty Johnny 99 and 1985's slippery, sentimental Rainbow. Allegedly, this album – discovered by Legacy and John Carter Cash during some archival work in 2012 – was shelved because its Billy Sherrill production was just a little bit too pop for Johnny Cash's taste, but that reasoning isn't sound, particularly with the Chips Moman-produced crossover of sugar of Rainbow taken into consideration. Moman had been riding high on the hits he produced for Willie Nelson – notably "Always on My Mind," Willie's last great crossover smash – and he applied a similar heavy-handed touch to Cash…

This book acts as a manual for the ancient methods of navigating by the stars, which continue to provide the sailor or pilot with a timeless means of determining location. Despite the prevalence of GPS, a comprehensive set of formulae that can be evaluated on any inexpensive scientific calculator in the event of a catastrophic software or systems failure is a vital failsafe. It also serves as a living link to centuries of explorers from centuries past.

Beauty, purity, and expressivity mark out music for upper voice choirs. On this recording, performed by one of the UK’s leading vocal ensembles, the repertoire embraces classics of the genre such as Gustav Holst’s sublime Ave Maria and his third group of Hymns from the Rig Veda, as well as contemporary music. James MacMillan and Sir John Tavener are represented by works that explore their unique musical language, whilst Bob Chilcott’s technically demanding The Song of the Stars offers richly approachable pleasures.

This is a great movie about the RAF's Bomber Command in WW II. It has a superb cast and the photography is exquisite. Although there are no aerial action scenes, wartime tension dominates every frame. Especially well handled are the rivalry and competition between the British Airmen and their American counterparts from the 8th Air Force. This is a must view for those who are interested in the Allied Air Crews who fought in the Air War over Fortress Europa during the bleak years from 1939-1944. The secret? "Keep Calm and Carry On."
