Freelance cartoonist and illustrator Don Simpson under the pseudonym Anton Drek also wrote and drew , herein posted in full. It includes the chapters "Sperm of Frankenstein Part 1: The Child Bride of Frankenstein", "Sperm of Frankenstein Part 2: The Origin of the Sperm of Frankenstein" and "The Bride of Frankenstein...Lives Again!" If you haven't yet gotten it by now, it is Mary Shelley's Frankenstein story with a modern sex-filled twist as this note by Simpson at the start of the 2nd chapter will tell you: "With apologies to Mary W. Shelley, on whose novel this travesty is based." on the other hand consists of two stories, "Swampud!" and "Slave Girl in Loving the Alien!" and a compilation of what appear to be covers to whimsical comic books done in Simpson's distinctive black-and-white style. The artwork is face-up explicit but humorous in a weird sort of way.

The Russian composer, pianist and electronic musician, Anton Batagov, graduated from the Gnessin School and the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He was prize-winner at the International Tchaikovsky Competition (1986) and other competitions. Anton Batagov introduced the music by John Cage, Morton Feldman, Steve Reich, and Philip Glass to Russian audiences. His discographical debut was a recording of Olivier Messiaen's Vingt regards sur l'Enfant Jesus for Melodiya. From 1989 to 1996 he was one of the leaders and organizers of the Alternativa, the annual international new music festival in Moscow. Heralded as “one of the most significant and unusual figures of Russian contemporary music” (Newsweek, Russian edition, 1997) and "a Russian Terry Riley" (Mark Swed, Los Angeles Times, 2008), Anton Batagov is one of the most influential Russian composers and performers of our time. The well-known American musicologist Richard Kostelanetz characterized Batagov's 1993 piano recording of J.S. Bach’s The Art of the Fugue (BWV 1080) as "the most stunning interpretation of Bach since Glenn Gould".

Second in popularity only to the Ninth Symphony "From the New World," Dvorák's Twelfth String Quartet – which was dubbed the "American" Quartet by the public and media rather than the composer himself – is a work nearly synonymous with the composer's tenure in the United States. These were not the only two works inspired by his cross-sea voyage, however. The Thirteenth String Quartet in G major, Op. 106, though not imbued with the same folkloric characteristics, also came about following the composer's return from the States. The popularity of the "American" Quartet has resulted in a work that is arguably overplayed, making it difficult for new ensembles to find anything new or unique to say about it.

Classical music listeners resort to ethnic and national generalizations too often. Some of the most insightful Beethoven interpreters were French, and there are plenty of classic non-Czech recordings of Dvorák. Yet there's something uniquely satisfying about this version of the much-recorded Slavonic Dances (both sets, Op. 46 and Op. 72), and the satisfaction has something to do with the all-Czech origins. Take for example the match between the superb sound, recorded in Prague's Rudolfinium hall, and the texture of Jirí Belohlávek's Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, an ensemble he has molded into his own.

It is unbelievable that such a popular work in the current repertoire as Ludwig van Beethovens Violin Concerto Op. 61 only conquered the concert hall around three to four decades after its composition. The work ultimately gained its popularity through two revised printed versions published in Vienna and in London, which both reveal substantial revisions in the solo parts. The quest for Beethovens original version proves to be extremely complicated, as Beethoven himself offered up to four alternatives to the soloists in some spots of the manuscript.
