A celebration of children's books presented by David Walliams, who counts down all the way from 50 to one. The show features guest appearances from Miranda Hart, Rob Brydon, Sarah Hadland, Meera Syal, Rufus Hound, Grace Dent and Levison Wood - who re-live their childhood experiences. David visits Paddington station with Michael Bond, takes tea with Judith Kerr, and visits Sir Quentin Blake's studio while he brings to life some of Roald Dahl's classics. Julia Donaldson, Michael Morpurgo, Lauren Childs, Michael Rosen and Dame Jacqueline Wilson all bring their work to life in conversation. And as an extra treat, Julie Walters and Martin Freeman read extracts from the top 50, including Treasure Island, Just William and The Hobbit.
A decade after they delivered Okie Dokie It's the Orb on Kompakt on…Kompakt, Alex Paterson and Thomas Fehlmann return to the stalwart Cologne label with an album bearing a less sportive title and it sounds like serious sci-fi business. The standard edition consists of four tracks, each one between nine and 15 minutes in length. Not one of them is humorously titled "Captain Korma" or "Komplikation," unless "God's Mirrorball" triggers a recollection of the first Tad album. Unlike Okie Dokie, this is all new, not an amalgamation of tweaked, previously released tracks and new material. Lest this be seen as the Orb's "most mature work to date," within seconds of the opener, a mild-mannered voice from a colorful documentary about Sumerian gods intones, "If you believe in evil, then you probably need a whack on the back of the neck with a big fucking stick." After four-and-a-half minutes of ambience that intensifies in gradual fashion, a fluid, sturdy beat and light chime-like accents enter to set the tone for the remainder of the 50-minute program. Both "God's Mirrorball" and "Moon Scapes" contain several sections that tug and drift with a calm but steady flow (one of Fehlmann's favorite terms). The latter is heavier and more propulsive than the former, trucking dub techno filled with thrumming and thwacking drums and sections highlighted by electric keyboard fillips and string-sample flickers.

Mutiny On The Mamaship is the debut album by former Parliament-Funkadelic drummer Jerome Brailey and his band Mutiny. The album was released by Columbia Records in 1979. The album was released a year after Brailey left P-Funk due to a financial dispute.

In September 2013 Anna performed Rachmaninoff 2nd Piano Concerto at the opening of the season of Sunday Morning Concerts series at the Great hall of the Royal Concertgebouw. Within two and a half a years, the recording of this concert received over 9 million views on YouTube and was highly praised among renown musicians. In November 2015 she returned to perform in the big hall of Concertgebouw in Sunday Morning Concerts series Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No 3, this performance was again steamed live on TV, internet and radio.
Brilliant work from Coltrane – recorded in the 60s, but not issued until the late 70s, and only then, not properly in print until the release of this great package! The material is classic Coltrane Quartet sessions – with McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, and Elvin Jones working with Trane to craft some long tracks that show the expanding genius of the group at the time. The spirit of the work is in the "new thing" mode of the 60s – more adventurous than even Coltrane's work from a few years before – and titles include "Living Space", "Dusk-Dawn", "The Last Blues", and "Untitled 90314".
