As Ordinary Man Mike and Chris were signed to EMI releasing their début single Goodbye America. To promote the single Ordinary Man supported Go West on their UK tour at the time. The tour was successful but the single was not. Mike and Chris returned to the studio to continue writing and recording. As This Other Eden Mike and Chris were signed to A&M records releasing three singles from what was to be their debut album. The singles failed to chart and although recorded the album was never released. Mike and Chris continued to write for sometime but eventually parted company in the very early 90s.

The fourth studio album from Brooklyn-based band Yeasayer, Amen & Goodbye, will be released worldwide on April 1, 2016. To visually interpret the album, Yeasayer collaborated with renowned sculptor David Altmejd (whose artwork is a major influence on the band) to create the gatefold artwork. The teasers released prior to album announcement contained some of the sculptures Altmejd created while listening to the bands new album. This was a dream come true for the band and the full artwork is utterly spectacular. Amen & Goodbye is the follow up to 2012’s Fragrant World. Moving away from a digital-heavy approach, Yeasayer recorded Amen & Goodbye to tape at Outlier Inn Studio in upstate New York, then brought on board Joey Waronker (drummer - Atoms For Peace / Beck) to deconstruct everything to make the final document.

Osaka Monaurail - Amen Brother (2008)
MP3 CBR 320 kbps | Tracks: 16 | 00:55:00 | 132.1 Mb
Style: Jazz / Funk / Jam Band / Fusion | Label: Unique ‎– UNIQUE 152-1

This album was released under the alias "Undercover Express" in Japan and was intended as a sideproject, not as a new Osaka Monaurail release. That's why it is easy to understand, how this album differs from the other releases. It's all instrumental cover-versions, and the overall sound is cleaner and jazzier than the typical Osaka Monaurail-sound. German distributor Unique Records decided to go with new grown popularity of Osaka Monaurail in Europe due to their incredible live-shows, that they have played in Europe for at least three years in a row at the time of this release, and released this as "Amen Brother" by Osaka Monaurail. Not aware of the story of this album, some listeners showed disappointment in the record (saying it was too different from it's predecessors due to the points mentioned above), but were convinced by the live-experience once and for all, which had this "misunderstanding" lose it's importance.
The Swan Silvertones - Amen, Amen, Amen: The Essential Collection (2015)

The Swan Silvertones - Amen, Amen, Amen: The Essential Collection (2015)
MP3 320 kbps CBR | 01:12:25 | 167 MB
Genre: Soul, RnB, Gospel | Label: Rockbeat Records

True to its title, it IS an essential collection. There isn't a bad or wasted track on this collection - but then, the Swan Silvertones never did any bad songs - some just dig a little deeper in the well of divine inspiration than others. The sound is great - the songs are outstanding, the Swans are immortal.
