Argentinian composer, instrumentalist and producer Litto Nebbia (real name Félix Francisco Nebbia) is a veteran of the Argentinian rock scene. A highly influential one at that, and a pioneer. In the first half of the 1960's he sought his fortunes in rock music, and as a forming member of Los Gatos he got his share of fame and fortune early. A part of his career that inspired many contemporary musicians too, with artists such as Charly García and Luis Alberto Spinetta acknowledging the importance of Nebbia and Los Gatos as inspirations for their own careers…

Armando Tirelli was the keyboardist and primary composer for the Uruguayan soft-rock/jazz group Sexteto Electrónico Moderno beginning in the late sixties. That band released four studio albums before emigrating to Mexico under the name Ëxodo in the mid-seventies. Tirelli moved on to release his lone solo album "El Profeta", a symphonic and spoken-word thematic effort based on the poetic novel 'The Prophet' by Lebanese writer and sixties counter-culture icon Khalil Gibran. While Tirelli's previous work with Sexteto Electrónico Moderno was characterized by jazz and classical influences, as well as more traditional Latin inflections of bossanova and salsa, "El Profeta" is a highly symphonic concept album…

The "Buenos Aires Free Experience" project is an associated production of Brazilian Record Runner company and Argentine UTOPIA Music Factory with the intention of showing the hidden side of musicians and their playing of instruments from the spirit. These "jam sessions" consist in meetings where every musician generates a musical frequency of energy able to harmonize with the others.Every piece of music is created and improvised live at the studio, without overdubs nor rehearsing, and later they are edited and mixed with a very creative criterion.

Magna Fabulis is a collection of four tracks which are each gathered from a different Musea/Colossus themed concept album. Mashing up the Odyssey, Treasure Island, and Dante's Purgatorio and Paradiso may at first seem to be an odd mix, but actually the album hangs together reasonably well thematically.

2012 release from this Argentinian prog quartet who had their greatest exposure in the US when they played at NEARFest. This is symphonic rock with especially notable performances from the keyboardist (who also sings), who favors a organ sound and the guitarist, who really sounds like he means every note in his solos. Nicely done.

Another amazing album from Nexus. This time, the music was recorded live, during jam sessions, with Lito Marcello and Ricardo Soulé as guest musicians. Since this is not a rehearsed album, each track has its own feeling, being completely independent from each other. Tracks 1 and 2 ("Plaga" and "El revés del espejo") are probably the heaviest ones, while track 3 ("Servicio de lounge") has an overall relaxing atmosphere. "No pizza" and "Danza mental" are the most experimental tracks, the first one being an interesting keyboards and drums only track. Track 4 is a kind of short introduction to the next track, in which you can listen to the musicians getting ready to play…

Nexus is without hesitation one of the most popular and respected prog rock bands from South America in last almost 2 decades. They really become to conquer the world with their second offer Metanoia from 2001, that album show big potential and excellent songwriting. The third album comes after almost 5 years silence face previous one is named Perpetuum Karma issued in spring of 2006. Well, the music remaining on same coordinates as on Metanoia, with bombastic passages, great duels between musicians, excellent songwriting, the only thing different is the voice, no more Maria Gonzalez here, now we have Lito Marcello.

Dick Hyman, one of the most accomplished and versatile musicians alive, is especially known as an authority on early jazz. After a lifetime of playing and studying the music of Bix Beiderbecke, Hyman announced he’d like to record for RR a solo program of music associated with Bix, including all five original pieces Bix wrote for piano. (Most likely, these are a recorded first.) Hyman arranged other numbers Bix performed with various groups, and plays and improvises upon these in his distinctive, brilliant style. The title track is an infectious Hyman original reminiscent of the period. An attractive bonus is a piano four-hands performance with Hyman’s friend and stride authority, Mike Lipskin.
