A General Topology Workbook

A General Topology Workbook by Iain T. Adamson
Birkhäuser; 1st edition | November 29, 1995 | English | ISBN: 081763844X | 152 pages | PDF | 4 MB

This book has been called a Workbook to make it clear from the start that it is not a conventional textbook. Conventional textbooks proceed by giving in each section or chapter first the definitions of the terms to be used, the concepts they are to work with, then some theorems involving these terms (complete with proofs) and finally some examples and exercises to test the readers' understanding of the definitions and the theorems.

Heiko Fischer began his musical career at the early age of 7. After a couple of years of classical piano lessons he switched to the guitar and instantly started writing and recording his own music. At the age of 14 he already had played concerts with his own band, started producing on a 4-track and expanded his abilities on the guitar. During the following years he could develop his skills and gained a deep understanding of his instrument and musical structure in general. Besides a diploma in particle physics he studied jazz in hamburg and berlin. His wide ranged musical education but more important his early experinces make him a versatile and outstanding musician.

Echo-jazz-award winner Heiko Fischer is back with a new band, new album and new sound. Since his last work "Gateway", the Wahlhamburger has left three years to research and to adjust itself. An album has emerged, which is new in its actuality, depth and its own sound. The studied physicist tries to find out what music and physics have in common, and what is perhaps also the difference between them, in "General Relativity". The album is inspired by the sound aesthetics of modern indie artists such as James Blake: Fischer has compared the sound of an acoustic jazz band with an electronic sound component, which is based on the modernity of modern indie / electric productions. If that is not a claim.
