Although Status Quo's commercial status has never been in doubt, few long-time fans have truly rated their '80s-'90s era output alongside the bedazzling blues boogie classics that they unleashed earlier in their lifespan – that peerless run of albums that stretched between Piledriver and Rockin' All Over the World.

Who would've thought that 35 years into their career, Status Quo would release their finest album long after the general public lost interest? Leaving Polygram, their major-label home for nearly all of their career, Quo (guitarists Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt, bassist John "Rhino" Edwards, keyboardist Andy Bown, and drummer Jeff Rich) signed with Eagle Records in the U.K. and proceeded to record a new platter.

Ain't Complaining is the eighteenth studio album by English rock band Status Quo. Initially released on the Vertigo label on 13 June 1988, it was the group's first album on that label to fall short of the UK Top 10, reaching no higher than its entry position of No. 12.

"Famous in the Last Century" is the twenty-fourth studio album by the British rock band Status Quo, released in 2000 to largely negative reviews. According to the band's autobiography, the idea to record it came from their manager David Walker, who said that they should celebrate the millennium with an album containing twenty of their favourite hits from the last century. To quote leader Francis Rossi, "Or, put another way, another bloody covers album! We went along with it, as usual, but inside I felt like a fraud...for me it was the worst Quo album there had ever been - or ever will be!" Ironically it still reached #19 in the UK Albums Chart, a better position than the previous Status Quo album of mainly original material, Under the Influence.

Almost four years after their last studio album, and two years after Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt agreed to relaunch the hitherto moribund band, Status Quo bounced back with an album that came as close as Christmas to restating the glories that most fans believed were buried a decade earlier.

Aquostic II – That’s A Fact! is the follow up to the phenomenally successful album from 2014 Aquostic (Stripped Bare). Aquostic II offers a generous helping of Quo classics that are immediately recognisable, and yet demonstrably re-engineered; including In The Army Now, Hold You Back and Roll Over Lay Down. Also featured are three brand new tracks from the band One For The Road, Is Someone Rocking Your Heart? and One Of Everything. This deluxe edition comes with a bonus CD featuring six tracks recorded at the band’s 2015 Stuttgart Aquostic show including Pictures of Matchstick Men and Whatever You Want.

Woe betide the psychedelic groover who picked up the third album by Status Quo, dreaming of further picturesque matchstick messages! A mere three hits in a long three years had completely exhausted the bandmembers' patience with the whimsy of yore, and their ears had long since turned in other directions.

1+9+8+2 (official title in other sources as 1982), is the fifteenth studio album by rock band Status Quo, released on 16 April 1982. It was the first to include new drummer Pete Kircher, who had recently replaced John Coghlan, and also the first to credit keyboard player Andy Bown as a full member of the band; on the previous few releases he had merely been listed as a guest musician although he had long been an integral member in all but name.
