Bla Lotus is a progressive rock trio from Sweden who's motto is, “No six-strings allowed.” Formed during the fall of 2016, Blå Lotus was basically three guys with a vision of making heavy prog rock without the aid of a guitar. Heavily influenced by old school progressive acts of yore, they immediately set out to create a fulfilling soundscape equipped with just bass, drums and Hammond organ and a vast array of lengthy jam-based compositions interspersed with heavy stoner-like riffs. Tube Alloys is scheduled for an early 2018 release as a digital-only album featuring six powerful tacks and will be available worldwide via all popular digital retailers.
“WATER & FIRE - Handel revisited”, presenting Handel’s most iconic music arranged for 5 saxophones and grand organ. Eric Sleichim (founder/leader of Bl!ndman) and Dutch organ player Reitze Smits arranged the Water Music suite and Music for the Royal Fireworks, for saxophone quintet (BL!NDMAN [sax] + Eric Sleichim (once again on alto for this album) and grand organ. Saxophone(s) and organ have already been combined several times in new music. The sound, as well as the dynamics of the instruments, mix splendidly, in the louder passages as well as in the quieter parts. The monumental character of Handel’s orchestral score is emphasized in this unique instrumentation. Handel’s iconic orchestral suites flank the opening movement of Jean-Féry Rebel’s Les Elémens, a musical punch-in-the-face long ahead of its time.

Agent blå — that’s Swedish for Agent blue — are a mostly teenage Gothenburg quintet from the same exciting scene that gave us Makthaverskan, Westkust, School ’94, and the Sun Days. (What a time to be alive in Gothenburg!) Makthaverskan’s Gustav Data had a hand in recording their debut album Agent blue, and it brims with a similar enthusiasm, each catchy indie-pop song revved up and shrouded in dark intensity. The album sounds like the work of young music nerds who are still in the breathless discovery phase and are channeling all these classic post-punk and shoegaze records into inspired new music of their own. You’ll want to pay special attention to “Rote Learning,” with its impassioned refrain “Tell me what the f*ck we’re doing!”
Slovak director Juraj Jakubisko is often described as the Fellini of Eastern Europe. After the 1968 film The Deserter and the Nomads, he was put in exile in Czechoslovakia after the soviet invasion. With cooperation from a Paris film studio he made this film. Birds Orphans and Fools is a brilliant, surreal and underrated tragic comedy that not many people seem to know about. The story is about three orphans who have lost their families in war.
"Herausragende Interpretation: Die geistsprühende und immer leicht ironisierende Musik von Jean Francaix ist den Fünf auf den Leib geschrieben. … Sinnfällige Artikulation, klangliche Delikatesse und insbesondere ein Sinn fürs Komödiantische zeichnet das Spiel der Berliner aus.” ~FonoForum
