20 Jazz Funk Greats is the third studio album by industrial music pioneers Throbbing Gristle, recorded in August 1979 and released in December 1979 by the band's record label Industrial. Despite its tongue-in-cheek title and stylistic diversions, the album generally continued the group's work in industrial and electronic music. It has been characterized as the band's best work.

Producer Creed Taylor launched the East Coast Jazz series in 1954 to differentiate the music emerging in New York from the new jazz coming out of Los Angeles and San Francisco.
