"…But it's the breadth which makes Liquidizer a thrilling experience, even if the end results are oddly enough one-dimensional: instantly catchy power pop fed through industrial, techno, and hip-hop approaches, topped off with Mike Edwards' confident bark. (…) Liquidizer holds up better than might be expected. Compared to most wretched American nu-metal bands a decade later, Jesus Jones doesn't forget the sheer fun of hip-hop as well as the potential rage." ~allmusicguide

Garbage is the debut album by American alternative rock group Garbage. It was released in the late summer and autumn of 1995 worldwide, following critical acclaim and promising chart positions for their debut single "Vow", which entered the Billboard Hot 100. Garbage was considered innovative for its fusion of pop melodies with alternative rock, trip-hop and electronica genres and its use of loops and sampling including, amongst other things, The Clash's "Train in Vain", the sound of torn sheets of metal, an air conditioning unit and a broken tape deck.

Whatcha Gonna Do? is an album by British blues rock musician Peter Green, who was the founder of Fleetwood Mac and a member from 1967–70. Released in 1981, this was his fourth solo album, the third in his 'middle period' of the late 1970s and early 1980s, and his last for PVK Records. All the tracks on the album were written by Green's brother Mike.

In the Skies is an album by British blues rock musician Peter Green, who was the founder of Fleetwood Mac and a member from 1967–70. Released in 1979, this was his second solo album and the first after eight years of obscurity. Accompanying Green on this album were several experienced session musicians, including Snowy White, who went on to work with Pink Floyd before joining Thin Lizzy. White contributed some of the lead guitar work on the album since Green was not yet fully comfortable with his return to recording after his long break. Also present was Green's colleague and friend from his earliest bands, Peter Bardens.

MCA Special Products' "Got My Mojo Working" is a ten-track sampler of B.B. King's earliest recordings. Although this is by no means definitive, it is effective, since it contains such songs as "Sweet Sixteen," "Paying the Cost to Be the Boss" and "Confessing the Blues." As a result, it's one of the better budget-line B.B. King compilations on the market.

Thrash/Speed Metal

Risk's loveable heavy metal zoo returns for a third round. "Dirty Surfaces" is yet another speed metal feast from Risk. However, this time around they offer a bit more variety. 1990, we all know it very well, marked the end of the first thrash metal epoch and the here reviewed album pays tribute to this fact.
