“Love Changes – The Anthology, 1972-83,” a first-of-its-kind 2-CD set by Mother’s Finest, considered the premier black rock-and-soul band of the ‘70s and ‘80s. This 37-track collection includes the entire 10-track 1983 LP, “One Mother To Another,” only ever released in Europe and making its worldwide CD debut. In addition, six tracks that were recorded for the group’s first RCA LP (in 1972) and only issued on a now out-of-print US CD in 2010 are also included here along with the team’s four charted singles, recorded for Epic Records during their seven-year tenure with the label, other standouts such as ‘Somebody To Love,’ (produced by Jimmy Iovine) along with ‘U Turn Me On’ and ‘Evolution’ from the 1981 LP, “Iron Age” and key cuts from the group’s three Epic studio albums such as ‘Give You All The Love (Inside Of Me)’ and a cover of the Motown classic, ‘Mickey’s Monkey.’

Digitally remastered collection from the 60s Pop band. Every Mother's Son, best known for their Summer of Love Top 10 hit "Come on Down to My Boat Baby", was born in Greenwich Village in the spring of 1966. Brothers Larry and Dennis Larden decided to fuse their folk background with rock elements, adding organist Bruce Milner, bassist Schuyler Larsen, and drummer Christopher Augustine to the mix to create a fantastic, Monkees/Turtles-esque pop outfit. Included here are their two Wes Farrell-produced, 1967 LPs: Every Mother's Son and Every Mother's Son's Back, the latter of which was even more creatively ambitious than their debut and has never before been issued on CD until NOW! Also included is their only non-LP single, "No One Knows". The 16-page, full-color booklet includes rare, previously-unpublished photos, and extensive liner notes featuring the participation of original band members.

The bass is really up front on this one. This is the most fully formed Mick Karn album, but still something seems to be missing. Or it's really that there should be more missing. Sometimes all the instrumentation gets a bit to busy. I could do without a lot of the guitar for instance. Although nothing here can obscure some of the greatest bass lines Karn's come up with. Songs like "Plaster the Magic Tongue" and a few others will amaze the bass crazed. There's lots of middle eastern and jazz fusion sounds to be found here. It's similar to Bestial Cluster just more consistently good, and sometimes darker or more middle eastern sounding. Mick Karn's best up to this point.

Originally included as part of the exhaustive Unearthed box set of Johnny Cash's American Records recordings, My Mother's Hymn Book is exactly what it claims to be – songs directly out of Cash's mother's old hymnal. Featuring Cash alone playing an acoustic guitar, this is a stark, beautiful, and simple album. In the liner notes, Cash calls this his favorite record he's ever made and it's clear that learning these songs as a child is what inspired his love of music. In that sense, despite no original material, these are some of the most personal songs Cash ever recorded; he even includes song-by-song commentaries that help illuminate what each track meant to him. For Merle Travis' "I Am a Pilgrim" Cash writes, "It's one of those old country gospel classics that my mother sang, that I knew I would record it someday." Of course, Cash recorded gospel songs before this album, as in 1959 with Hymns by Johnny Cash and again in 1962 with Hymns From the Heart and he usually included one gospel track per album.
