Reissue with the latest DSD remastering. Comes with liner notes. 1. I believe this was Makoto's 3rd album (something like that) and when it came out, I was expecting some more inventive Makoto magic–> but I was surprised to learn / hear that this was standard jazz material and I totally loved it. 2. This was produced before trio jazz stuff came back into fashion (ie prior to Chick's Acoustic Band and around the time of Keith Jarrett's trio… I think Keith had his first live trio album around this time). Anyway, the trio work is great, the song selection is classic, this is a no brainer for anyone who appreciates good / classic standard jazz.
Features 24 bit remastering and comes with a mini-description. One of the first Modern Jazz Quartet albums on Atlantic – a 1957 set that finds the crew in one of their freshest periods – laying down their soon-to-be trademark style in a fashion that warrants the self-titled tag! The set kicks off with a stellar medley of standards, all given the tight MJQ touch! The crew strolls through "They Say It's Wonderful", "How Deep Is The Ocean", "Body And Soul" and more in that 10 minute stretch. Other album highlights include the drum-heavy "La Ronde", a sweet reading of "Night In Tunisia", "Baden Baden", "Bag's Groove" and "Yesterdays".

‘1000 Watts’ is the third album from the tropical reggae- and dub-infused Quantic Presenta Flowering Inferno project. This outing sees musical explorer Will “Quantic” Holland making a more concerted foray into pure reggae-roots territory, although flashes of Holland’s Colombian influences still shine through. A sun-drenched record, the LP is charged with atmosphere and a fitting tribute to dub music’s evolution.
